BP seeks Russian guarantee
Russell Hotten, Telegraph, 16 Jun 2008Oil giant BP will consider buying out its disgruntled partners in its Russian joint venture if there is a guarantee it can sell on the shares at the same price. The move opens the possibility of energy companies Gazprom or Rosneft taking stakes in TNK-BP and ending an increasingly bitter row over the joint venture's future.
